Paz Cateil

Born in Cebu, Philippines, and raised in Waianae, Hawaii.  I am friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help my clients, no matter how busy I may be.

A Realtor since 2005, I hold several professional designations and certifications, including Graduate Realtor Institute* (GRI), Seniors Real Estate Specialist* (SRES), Military Relocation Professional* (MRP), Resort and Second Home Property Specialist* (RSPS) and At Home with Diversity* (AHWD).

Before launching my real estate career, I worked as an accountant for more than two decades for Honolulu Shipyard and Amerigas Propane.  I have a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a graduate of Nanakuli High School.  

I specialize in assisting first-time homebuyers, real estate investors and military buyers and sellers.  I serve across Oahu, but is particularly focused on the areas of Waianae, Kapolei, Ewa Beach, Waipahu, Pearl City and Aiea.

I have seen firsthand the power of investing in real estate to build long-term wealth, and love to share that knowledge with others.  My background in accounting is a huge asset to my clients, as I am able to easily explain the many tax benefits of home ownership and tax strategies, like the 1031 exchange.

Growing up in a small house with nine siblings motivated me to excel in my studies and work hard to secure my own home.  I knew that to build long-term wealth, I will need to diversify my investment portfolio with real estate holdings, in addition to my stock investments.  I got married after finishing college and purchased our first home the next year.  Following the birth of my three children, we purchased our investment homes.  We now own four passive income-producing properties.

I was interested and driven to become a Realtor* so I can share my experiences with my young clients and to let them know that nothing is impossible.  I am also motivated to guide those who want to build wealth through real estate for passive-income or short-term gains.  My favorite part of this job is to see my clients reach their dreams of owning a piece of paradise in Hawaii.

An active member with Sacred Hearts of Waianae Catholic Church and can be found assisting in the planning of special events and helping those in need.  I also donate a portion of my income to the Locations Foundation, the charitable arm of Locations LLC.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching Hawaii men's and women's volleyball, spending time with family and friends, and vacationing Las Vegas and Disneyland with my children, and grandchildren.
