Kumiko Burns

Born and raised in Hokkaido, Japan, Kumiko Burns has been a resident of Hawaii since 1983. Kumiko earned her real estate license in 1989, and has been working as a full-time bilingual REALTOR® ever since. She earned her broker’s license in 2004 and was named a Partner in Locations in 2011.

Kumiko credits her past career as an engineer and as an executive assistant for IBM in Tokyo for honing her diligence and attention to detail.   She is also an excellent listener, and her many client referrals are a testament to her hard work and passion for her career. Her greatest reward is to see the satisfied faces of her clients at the end of their transactions. In fact, many of her clients have become her life-long friends.

Kumiko is experienced in all types of residential properties, including luxury and investment properties.

In her spare time, Kumiko enjoys monthly book club meetings, volunteering with the Minnano Care Network (a provider of senior care services for elderly Japanese).  Also, she is a long time member of Honolulu Japanese CC and Nippon Club (Organization for Japanese Businesses in Hawaii).

She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, which includes two dogs, Hana and Hoku.
