Born in the Philippines. Irene graduated from St. Louis University, Baguio City, Philippines as an Industrial Engineer. Just after graduation in 1993, she joined her dad in the Mining Industry and works for various position for 8 years. In 1992, she  got married to George and migrated to Hawaii on that same year .She has only one daughter Alyssa, a Registered Nurse.

While not in the office, Irene enjoys spending time with her family, watching movie with husband George, shopping with daughter Alyssa and walking with her dog Oreo. She is involved in church activities at the Resurrection of The Lord Catholic Church at Waipio and active member of the Home Bound and Hospital Ministry . Irene is an active volunteer with Locations Foundation, donating portion of her income and volunteering many hours working to help make a difference to people in need in Oahu.
