HONOLULU – (March 6, 2018) – Locations, Hawaii’s leading independent real estate firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Bigelow as senior vice president of business development and operations, Renee Dona as director of human resources and Frank Rodriguez as director of operations.

Ian Bigelow

Bigelow is responsible for the real estate firm’s business development opportunities and acquisitions, in addition to operations of the firm’s wholly-owned subsidiary business lines, including its Property Management Division and other key business initiatives.

“In just five years, Ian has generated steadily increasing revenue for our property management business and distinguished himself as a transformational leader,” said Locations President and CEO Scott Higashi. “In this competitive marketplace, we recognize the need to enhance and expand the services we offer to our clients. Ian will play a critical role in the strategic diversification of our business, and his promotion will be a boon not only to our company but to our customers, too.”

Bigelow was named Vice President of Property Management in 2013, when Locations acquired Bigelow’s property management company. During his tenure, Locations’ Property Management Division tripled in size, making it the state’s largest individual rental market management company. As vice president, Bigelow oversaw 3,600 units and more than 65 full-time employees, while contracting with Kamehameha Schools, the City & County of Honolulu, the Hawaii Community Development Authority and other major institutions in the state.

Prior to joining Locations, Bigelow oversaw operations of the property management company he founded in 2009, after gaining experience in the field in Los Angeles and Honolulu.

He is a long-serving volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hawaii and serves on numerous non-profit boards, including: Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation, Institute For Human Services (I), HomeAid Hawaii and the Locations Foundation. He also serves on the Government Affairs Committee for the Hawaii Association of REALTORS®.

Bigelow was named one of Pacific Business News’ “40 Under 40” honorees in 2016.
