Locations Names Ian Bigelow Chief Operating Officer

HONOLULU – (January 24, 2019) - Locations, Hawaii’s leading independent real estate firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Ian Bigelow to chief operating officer.

Bigelow was previously named senior vice president of business development and operations in 2018, where he oversaw several of Locations’ subsidiaries, which included the insurance brokerage, general contracting and property management divisions.

In his new role as COO, Bigelow will oversee all of Locations’ subsidiary companies, including Premier Title & Escrow and Compass Mortgage, in addition to merger and acquisition opportunities. From 2013 to 2018, he served as vice president of Property Management for Locations. During this time, Locations’ Property Management Division tripled in size, making it the state’s largest individual rental market management company.

As vice president, Bigelow oversaw 4,000 units and more than 65 full-time employees. Prior to joining Locations, Bigelow oversaw operations of the property management company he founded in 2009, after gaining experience in the field in Los Angeles and Honolulu. His firm was acquired by Locations in 2012.

He is a long-serving volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hawaii and serves on numerous non-profit boards, including: Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation, Institute For Human Services (IHS), HomeAid Hawaii and the Locations Foundation. He also serves on the Government Affairs Committee for the Hawaii Association of REALTORS®.

Bigelow was named one of Pacific Business News’ “40 Under 40” honorees in 2016.
