Celebrating Hearts and Hope: Locations Foundation Spreads Cheer at Manoa Elementary

On a breezy Saturday morning in March 2024, amidst the gentle pitter-patter of raindrops, the spirit of community and compassion shone brightly at Manoa Elementary School. Fourteen Locations Foundation members, including Locations Property Management and Hawai’i Mortgage Group employees, gathered for a heartfelt endeavor—marking the culmination of the school’s week-long American Heart Association activities with cheerful chalk drawings and encouraging words.

Armed with colorful chalk and boundless enthusiasm, the team decorated school walkways with uplifting messages, celebrating the spirit of giving and wellness. Despite the unpredictable weather, there was a collective sense of purpose as our dedicated volunteers chalked messages of hope, love and resilience—each stroke a symbol of positivity and a reminder of the power of community.

"Every year, the Locations Foundation helps a local elementary school to celebrate the conclusion of its American Heart Association week with our signature chalking event," said Foundation President and Locations Partner Kristin Mukai. "It's a chance for us to show our love and support for keiki who have worked hard all week to raise funds for a worthy cause and promote healthy habits."
