Locations Realtor and Partner Honored by Pacific Business News

Shannon Smith, Realtor® and Partner at Locations, was named the 2021 Business of Pride Career Achievement Honoree by Pacific Business News on Oct. 21.

The award recognizes LGBTQ leaders, companies and allies in Hawaii who are successful in their careers, active in their communities, and advocates for inclusion and equality.

About Shannon

A Realtor® and Partner at Locations since 2003, Shannon specializes in military relocations, first-time homebuyers and real estate investments. She is also a short-sale specialist and a Certified Distressed Property Expert.

In 2017, Shannon was named Sales Manager for A'ali'i, a condo project in Ward Village for which Locations is the exclusive broker. As Sales Manager, she oversaw a team of 16 agents and ensured the successful closing of the project.

Shannon has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including Locations’ Excellence Circle Club Award, Honolulu Magazine’s Best in Real Estate Award and multiple Aloha ’Aina REALTOR® Award nominations. She holds several professional real estate designations, including the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designations.

Active in her community, Shannon has served on the board of the non-profit Locations Foundation, and she continues to donate a portion of her income and her time to the organization as a Locations Foundation Guardian Donor. Shannon is a founding member of the Hawaii Rainbow Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Advisory Council for the Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation, for which she is also a past board member.

Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in American Studies with an emphasis in Historic Preservation from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
