2018 Aloha 'Aina REALTOR Award Winner Karyl Fujii

Locations REALTOR® Karyl W. Fujii was recognized December 7, 2018, by the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® with a prestigious Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Award for exceptional client service. Her clients' nomination was selected by a panel of judges from more than 1,500 nominations.

Karyl’s clients, who nominated her for the award, described their experience listing their home with Karyl:

“Sometimes, a REALTOR® will become a trusted professional that a client can rely on to help with many transactions over time. One such agent, Karyl Fujii, has proven herself to be exceedingly capable of successfully listing and selling properties that are difficult to handle, garnering her many referrals because of her attention to detail and ability to push forward in light of challenging circumstances.

In this instance, Fujii was able to navigate the home selling journey for eight partners who had a shared interest in a single property that was severely deteriorated and had served as a rental home. Her pricing strategy, listing just a little under the market, caused great interest and a bidding war that got us top dollar. In addition, she identified crucial repairs and renovation needs and recommended contractors to do the work. She continued to employ her expert negotiating skills with her vendors and saved…thousands of dollars for repairs, termite and pest services, and so much more.

Time and time again, she had shown how she puts the client’s interests are her top priority and goes overboard to make the property attractive for showing. She vacuumed, raked, and cleaned this severely neglected property and risked physical injury by bringing a dolly and moving a malodorous and non-functioning refrigerator to the street for bulky item pick up. She also took it upon herself to move heavy contractor trash and green bins to the street and took it upon herself to purchase home insecticide and spray the exteriors of the house when she noticed infestations of ants and other insects.

Her communication skills were superior, and she always takes the initiative to keep all parties involved during the entire process. She did everything she could to expedite things says her client. When it was evident that something needed prodding to keep the transaction moving she reached out to whoever it was to ensure deadlines were met.

Furthermore, Karyl has continued to serve my family well as she has represented my daughter as a buyer for another property in Honolulu.
