Legacy Projects

Locations Foundation Legacy Project<span class= 

The Locations Foundation Legacy Projects focus on positively influencing Hawaii’s youth, educating them on environmental sustainability, and giving them the tools to put all of these great ideas into action. The mission statement of our Legacy Project is “E kulia a hana pono” or “to strive and do good.”

Previous Legacy Projects

  • Kipapa Elementary

  • Palolo Elementary

    The 1st Annual Legacy Project Grant was awarded to Palolo Elementary to establish a new, fully-equipped science lab, with enough remaining funds to create sustainability gardens for student enjoyment and educational opportunities. More than 70 volunteers came together to make this project a success.

  • Keone'ula Elementary

    In its second year, the Legacy Project Grant awarded $25,000 to Keone’ula Elementary to construct an outdoor learning hale for hands-on, outdoor learning opportunities, created a sustainability garden with planter boxes, an aquaponics system and an irrigation system. Volunteers also repainted curbs, hopscotch and four square games.

  • Kanoelani Elementary

    In 2015, the Legacy Project Grant was awarded to Kanoelani Elementary to create a STEM Lab, outdoor learning area and mural, with the help of Locations Foundations volunteers.

  • Waiahole Elementary

    Volunteers beautified the campus with newly painted hopscotch and games.

  • Waipahu High School
